WORSHIP ARTS
The Worship Arts Team leads worship services and creates the environment that helps us connect with God in worship.

Music
+ Vocalist
Primary responsibility: singing
Provide background and/or lead vocals for Cottage Grove worship services. Knowledge and skill are preferred, but we can work together to grow experience.
Commitment: Sundays (4 hours) + personal practice time // on rotation
+ Instrumentalist
Primary responsibility: playing
Provide lead or support instrumentation for Cottage Grove worship services. Knowledge and skill are preferred, but we can work together to grow experience.
Commitment: Sundays (4 hours) + personal practice time // on rotation
Worship Leadership
+ Service Leader
Primary responsibility: creating welcoming in-person experience
Help be “the face” of The Grove during worship services. Greet congregation. Read announcements. Help serve communion.
Commitment: Sundays (2.5 hours) // on rotation
Creative Arts
+ Artist
Primary responsibility: creating visual worship elements
Create elements for each worship series. Help imagine and design interactive worship wall. “Artists” might include but are not limited: makers, crafters, visual artists (sculptors, painters, mixed media), performing arts (dance, poetry, spoken word, actors), design (lighting, digital, spacial).
Commitment: Sundays or midweek asynchronous // 2 hours per month + worship service
+ Liturgist
Primary responsibility: creating written worship elements
Write prayers, poems, and/or other liturgical elements for use in worship services.
Commitment: midweek asynchronous // 2 hours per month
+ Reader
Primary responsibility: reading written worship elements
Read prayers, poems, and/or other liturgical elements in front of the congregation or via video recording from home.
Commitment: Sundays or midweek // on rotation
WORSHIP TECH
The Worship Tech Team uses technology to help us connect with God in worship — both in the room and online.

Tech Team
+ Sound Tech
Primary responsibility: running the soundboard
Create and maintain mix for both in-person and online audiences. Knowledge and skill are preferred, but we can work together to grow experience.
Commitment: Sundays (4 hours) // on rotation
+ Livestream Tech
Primary responsibility: capturing video
Use livestreaming equipment and software to broadcast worship services to online audience. Knowledge and skill are preferred, but we can work together to grow experience.
Commitment: Sundays (4 hours) // on rotation
+ ProPresenter Tech
Primary responsibility: running slideshow
Run worship slides with ProPresenter on Mac. Knowledge and skill are preferred, but we can work together to grow experience.

KIDS MINISTRY
The Kids Ministry Team creates a safe, nurturing environment where every child knows how much God loves them.

Young Kids
+ Nursery Lead
Primary responsibility: caring for babies and toddlers
Staff nursery during worship service. **Requires background check.**
Commitment: Sundays (1.5 hours) // on rotation
+ Nursery Helper
Primary responsibility: playing with babies and toddlers
Provide support in staffing nursery during worship service. **Requires background check.**
Commitment: Sundays (1 hour) // on rotation
+ Preschool Playtime Helper
Primary responsibility: helping run crafts and activities
Attend Preschool Playtime events. Helping set up, lead, and clean up activities. **Requires background check.**
Commitment: Friday mornings (2 hours) // on rotation
Older Kids
+ Storyteller
Primary responsibility: retelling Bible story
Read Bible story. Following curriculum, facilitate age-appropriate discussion and learning activities during worship service. **Requires background check.**
Commitment: Sundays (30 minutes) + personal prep time // on rotation
+ Helper
Primary responsibility: assisting with curriculum and activities
Provide support in staffing kids space and curriculum during the worship service. **Requires background check.**

Support
+ Clean-up Crew
Primary responsibility: preparing space for following week
Help clean the children’s ministry space once children have left.
Commitment: Sundays (15 minutes) // on rotation
+ Prep Worker
Primary responsibility: getting curriculum and supplies ready for Sundays
Work on printing, cutting, coloring, and/or organizing.
Commitment: midweek asynchronous // about 1 hour per week
HOSPITALITY
The Hospitality Team helps to create a truly welcoming space — preparing the building, greeting new and returning guests, and performing duties to assist with Sunday morning operations.

+ Welcome Host
Primary responsibility: preparing the space
Prepare coffee and food. Sweep space to ensure cleanliness. Check-in with pastors regarding any needs before service.
Commitment: Sundays // on rotation
+ Greeter
Primary responsibility: welcoming people into the space
Stand at hello & welcome desk to greet and encourage name tags. Stand at Worship Center entrance to greet people with worship handouts. Close/open doors or adjust lighting as needed. Take an attendance count. Organize offering and inserts.
Commitment: Sundays // on rotation
+ Designer
Primary responsibility: imagining and creating the space
Assist with planning, implementing themes within Worship Center and in Commons Area to create welcoming, inviting, engaging experiences.
Commitment: midweek // infrequent
COMMUNITY CONNECTS
The Community Connects Team plans and promote events which introduce The Grove to the broader community — increasing awareness we exist, providing opportunities to learn more, and creating relationships which encourage people to engage more deeply.

+ Planning Committee
Primary responsibility: creating engaging events
Attend monthly planning meetings. Perform various assignments outside of meeting times. Brainstorm for a variety of events over the course of the year. Participate in planning events. Attend and execute events.
Commitment: midweek asynchronous // about 2 hours per month + events
+ Event Host
Primary responsibility: making events happen
Work in cooperation with the Planning Committee to implement Community Connect events. Provide food or drinks. Run games and activities. Be a welcoming presence that represents The Grove.
Commitment: midweek or weekend // day or time of event
