A safe, welcoming place where students can come as they are, build meaningful relationships, and discover the incredible love God has for them.
We’re growing something new!
Most new churches don’t start with a youth group — including The Grove – Cottage Grove. But now that we’ve grown older AND our kids have grown older, it’s time to start acting our age!
Beginning September 16, we’re piloting Grove Students every Wednesday at 6:30pm at our Cottage Grove location.
While we get things figured out and begin gathering students, here are some things you can expect.
WHAT TO EXPECT
PIZZA
Because pizza makes everything better! With many students coming from after school activities, we want to make sure everyone has a chance to eat. Pizza is a $1 per slice or pay-what-you-can.
GAMES
Bring your energy and competitive spirit! One of the best ways to grow meaningful relationships is though play. Some games will make you use your body, some will make you use your brain, all will be fun.
THINGS WORTH LEARNING
We want to encourage student to go out and grow goodness amongst their peers, schools, and community. A little bit of engaging instruction on how they might do that can go a long way.
SMALL GROUPS
One of the best ways to learn is in conversation — especially with other people like you. Small group discussions help students sort through how they can actually live out what they’re learning.
SAFE AND INCLUSIVE
One of the most important parts of middle school and high school is figuring out who you are. As our welcome statement makes clear, EVERYONE belongs here.
OCCASIONAL EVENTS
Every once in a while, we’ll do something out of the ordinary with students from our Woodbury location— either on a Wednesday night or even over a weekend. Stay tuned!
